Joyce, Clara, Dave
Radio/cassette
players are still the most available and used media devices among the Fulbé in
Guinea. With this in mind, Dave operates a recording studio in Dalaba which
produces materials in Pular, the Fulbé’s language. He makes both radio
programs and audio-cassette messages designed to interest Muslims in the Gospel
or to help new Fulbé Christians grow in their faith. Not only do missionaries
from our own mission use these materials, but several other missions use them
also.
In their local setting, Dave and Joyce both contribute to the growth of the emerging Fulbé church in Dalaba. They disciple believers and talk to local Muslims about the Gospel. Joyce has also been working with a believer who lost her source of income, helping her find ways to earn a living. Dave preaches in Pular and French worship services.
