   Welcome and Announcements

   Silent Prayer and Preparation

*  Call to Worship:                                                    Psalm 47

Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.  How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!  God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.

Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King.  For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.  God reigns over the nations, God is seated on his holy throne.  He is greatly exalted!

* Hymn:  Insert       “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling”         Beecher

* God’s Greeting:

Grace and peace to you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

The Lord be with you.

And also with you.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,

Who made heaven and earth.

Blessed be God,

And blessed is his kingdom, now and forever.  Amen.

*  Prayer of the Day:

Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be set free and brought together under his most gracious rule, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

*  Response:  PH 408     “Rejoice the Lord Is King” Darwall’s 148th

Rejoice, the Lord, is King!  Your Lord and King adore.

Rejoice, give thanks and sing and triumph evermore.

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice.  Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

RejoiConfession And Prayer

   Prayer of Confession:

O great and everlasting God, who searches and knows the thoughts and intentions of our hearts, we confess that we have not loved you with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength.  And we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have loved what we ought not to have loved, and we have coveted what is not ours.  We have not been content with your providence over our lives, or with the provisions you have made for us.  We have complained in our hearts about our families, our friends, our health, our vocations, our trials, and about your church. We have sought security in those things which perish, rather than in you, the everlasting God.  Cleanse and forgive us, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives to make intercession for us according to your will.

Majesty, worship his majesty.

Unto Jesus be all glory, honor, and praise.

Majesty, kingdom authority flow from his throne unto his own;

His anthem raise.  So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus.

Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus, the King.

Majesty, worship his majesty;

Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all kings.
