   Welcome and Announcements

   Silent Prayer and Preparation

*  Call to Worship:                                                    Psalm 95

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.  Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.

* Hymn:  PH 410      “Crown Him with Many Crowns”      Diademata

* God’s Greeting:

Grace and peace to you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

The Lord be with you.

And also with you.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,

Who made heaven and earth.

Blessed be God,

And blessed is his kingdom, now and forever.  Amen.

*  Prayer of the Day:

O Lord and King of our lives, you have entered your glory by means of the cross. To you all authority in heaven and on earth has been given. We acknowledge your sovereignty over every realm of life. Manifest the rule of your kingdom by subduing the world through the power of your love; for as yours is the kingdom, so yours is the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

*  Response:   PH 561          “Rejoice, O Pure in Heart”      Marion

Praise God, who reigns on high, the Lord whom we adore:

The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, one God forevermore.

Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice,  give thanks, and sing!

Confession And Prayer

   Prayer of Confession:

Almighty God our Father, we acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed; we have not loved you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and we have not love our neighbor as ourselves.  Forgive us for all of our sins, for they weigh heavy upon us.  Deepen within us our sorrow for the wrong we have done, and the good that we have left undone.  Lord, you are gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy; there is always forgiveness with you!  Restore to us the joy of your salvation; bind up that which is broken, give light to our minds, strength to our wills, and rest to our souls.  Speak to each of us, and let your word abide with us until it has worked within us your holy will through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Silent Prayer and Confession

Minister: Amen.

   Assurance of Pardon:                                             Psalm 32

   Response:  “Create in Me a Clean Heart”

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

     and renew a right spirit within me. (2X)

Cast me not away from thy presence, O Lord,

     and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation

     and renew a right spirit within me.
