Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church Morning Worship February 18, 2007 10:15 A.M. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Preparation And Praise Prelude: “Praise to the Lord” Hebble/Jordan Welcome and Announcements Silent Prayer and Preparation * Call to Worship: Psalm 107 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say this—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe; let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for his people. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy. Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of the elders; for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. * Hymn: PH 478 “Tell Out, My Soul” Woodlands * God’s Greeting: Grace and peace to you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Lord be with you. And also with you. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Blessed be God, And blessed is his kingdom, now and forever. Amen. * Prayer of the Day: Grant us, O Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to set our hearts on heavenly things; and even now, while we live in the midst of that which is passing away, may we hold fast to that which will endure forever, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. * Response: PH 441, stanza 4 “All Praise to You, My God, This Night” Tallis Canon Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise him, all creatures here below. Call to Confession Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have too often followed the devices and desires of our own hearts and have broken your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done, and there is no health in us. But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those who confess their sins. Restore those who are repentant, according to your promises declared unto us in Christ Jesus our Lord. Grant that we may live a godly, righteous and holy life to the glory of your name, through Christ our Lord we pray. Silent Prayer and Confession Minister: Amen.
