*  Call to Worship:                                                                                                  Isaiah 12

The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.

Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.

Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.

*  Hymn:   PH 188               “Praise the Lord, Sing Hallelujah”                  Praise Jehovah

*  God’s Greeting:

Grace and peace to you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

    Amen.

The Lord be with you.

    And also with you.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,

    Who made heaven and earth.

Blessed be God,

    And blessed is his kingdom, now and forever.  Amen.

*  Prayer of the Day:

O Lord. Almighty God, give us grace to treasure your truth, to contend always for what is right, and to be ready, if need be, to suffer for your name’s sake.  Give us not over to fearfulness of soul, but lift us into that love which casts out fear, so that we may glorify and enjoy you now and forever; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

*  Response:         “Now All the Vault of Heaven Resounds”             Lasst Uns Erfreuen

Adoring praises now we bring and with the heavenly blessed sing,

“Christ hath triumphed, Alleluia!”

Be to the Father, and our Lord, to Spirit blest, most holy God,

Thine the glory never ending!  Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Confession and Prayer

    Prayer of Confession:

Almighty God, who is rich in mercy to all those who call upon you, hear us as we come humbly confessing our sins and seeking your grace and forgiveness. We have broken your holy laws by our actions and choices, by our words and by the sinful affections of our own hearts. We confess before you our disobedience and ingratitude, our pride and stubbornness, and our neglect of  your will for our lives. Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father, and grant that we, through your great goodness, may serve and please you in newness of life, through the merit and intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord.
