Prelude: “God Is Here” Powell Welcome and Announcements Silent Prayer and Preparation * Call to Worship: Psalm 65 Praise is due to you, O God, in Zion, and to you shall vows be performed. O you who hears prayer, to you shall all flesh come. When iniquities prevail against me, you atone for our transgressions. Blessed is the one you choose and bring near to dwell in your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple. * Hymn: Insert “God, All Nature Sings Thy Glory” Ode to Joy * God’s Greeting: Grace and peace be to you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Lord be with you. And also with you. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Blessed be God, And blessed is his kingdom, now and forever. Amen. * Prayer of the Day: Grant us grace, O Lord, to trust you in all things, for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. * Response: PH 466 “Sing Praise to the Lord” Laudate Dominum Sing praise to the Lord! Thanksgiving and song to him be outpoured all ages along! Confession and Prayer Prayer of Confession: Most merciful God, we confess to you that we are by nature sinful and unclean, and that we have disobeyed you in thought, word and deed; and not only in outward transgressions, but also in secret thoughts and desires that we are ashamed to acknowledge, but which are known to you. For this reason we seek refuge in your infinite mercy and pray that you would be gracious to us, and turn from us those punishments which we by our sins have deserved. Forgive us for all of our sins and renew within us the image of Jesus Christ, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name.
