Prelude: “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need” Jordan Welcome and Announcements: Silent Prayer and Preparation * Call to Worship: Psalm 147 Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! The Lord builds up Jerusalem, he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Great is the Lord and mighty in power. Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make music to our God. Extol the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion, for he strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your people within you. He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel. Praise the Lord! * Hymn: PH 561 “Rejoice, O Pure in Heart” Marion * God’s Greeting: Grace and peace be to you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Lord be with you. And also with you. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Blessed be God, And blessed is his kingdom, now and forever. Amen. * Prayer of the Day: Lord God, you declare your mighty power in showing mercy and having compassion. Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, seeking to lay hold of your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. * Response: “Now Thank We All Our God” Nun Danket
Confession and Prayer Prayer of Confession: Almighty God, maker of all things and judge of all men, we acknowledge our many sins and wickedness before you, which we, from time to time, have committed in thought, word, and deed against your majesty. We do earnestly repent and are sorry for these our sins. The remembrance of them is grievous, and the burden of them is intolerable. Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father, and for the sake of Jesus Christ your Son, forgive us for all that is past, and grant that we may from now on serve and please you in newness of life, to the honor and glory of your name, through Christ our Lord. Silent Prayer and Confession Minister: Amen. Assurance of Pardon: Psalm 103 Response: "As the Deer Panteth" As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after you. You alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to worship you. Refrain: You alone are my strength, my shield. To you alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to worship you. You’re my friend and you are my brother even though you are a King. I love You more than any other, So much more than anything.
