Praise be to you, O Lord, God of our father Israel.  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.

Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.  In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give grace to all.  Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

O God, whose glory it is to always have mercy; be gracious to all who have gone astray from your ways, and bring them again with repentant hearts and steadfast faith to embrace and hold fast the unchangeable truth of  your Word, even Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Confession and Prayer

    Prayer of Confession:

Almighty God, maker of all things and judge of all men, we acknowledge our many sins and wickedness before you, which we, from time to time, have committed in thought, word, and deed against your majesty. We do earnestly repent and are sorry for these our sins. The remembrance of them is grievous, and the burden of them is intolerable. Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father, and for the sake of Jesus Christ your Son, forgive us for all that is past, and grant that we may from now on serve and please you in newness of life, to the honor and glory of your name, through Christ our Lord.
