Humbly we come, seeking your forgiveness that we may know the joy of your presence and the light of your face shining upon us. You alone know our hearts, how often we have failed to love you with our heart, soul, mind and strength, and how often we have failed to love our neighbors as ourselves. Forgive us for every unkind thought, every false word, and every wrong act. Forgive us for failing to give you thanks, for our neglect of prayer, and our willful ignorance of your word. Heavenly Father, have mercy on us. Remove from us all that dims the brightness of your glory and give to us a passion to know you in all of your fullness, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
