Larry and Ruth work in partnership with the Reformed Church of Japan to develop new congregations in Japan's burgeoning cities, where less than one percent of the people are Christians. Larry's work includes leading evangelistic Bible studies, preaching, planning strategies with emerging church leaders and training pastors, elders and deacons. He is currently serving as the Field Director for Christian Reformed World Missions in Japan. Ruth is a busy wife and mother who also serves as school nurse at the Christian Academy in Japan. The Spalinks have four children: Benjamin, Jonathan, Jolena, and Daniel.
