Our Roots
- We were organized more than 40 years ago as a church affiliated with the
Christian Reformed Church, a 145-year-old Protestant denomination.
- This denomination stemmed from the Reformed churches founded in 1522 as
part of the Reformation Movement. The Church was called Presbyterian in
Scotland and Reformed in Europe.
- In the early 1800's some Reformed people moved to the United States from
the Netherlands and in 1857 they started the Christian Reformed Church in
North America. The denomination has churches through the world, with about
350,000 members in over 1,200 churches in North America. The denomination's
motto is "Seek the lost and disciple the found."
Our Church Family
- The church includes about 400 members. Many grew up in the
Whitinsville area within the
Christian Reformed Church. Our membership also includes people from a
variety of other church backgrounds.
Our Purpose
- We desire to reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Services are held each Sunday morning and evening for worship of our God,
Bible teaching, and Christian fellowship.
- We also have programs to nurture children, youth, and adults in the
Christian faith.
Our Beliefs
- We accept the Bible as God's infallible written word. Through faith
in Jesus Christ, we can have eternal salvation.
- As Christians, we accept Jesus as Lord of our life, and we are empowered
through God's Holy Spirit to live faithfully in this world.
