Coffee Break Bible Study is a place where people who have never opened a Bible—as well as those who have a lot of experience—can feel comfortable to share and to learn about God and what he desires for them. Coffee Break reaches out to women and children from the community through a time of fellowship, Bible study, sharing, and prayer. The group meets on Thursdays at 9:30am during the school year.

Temporary changes due to Covid-19 Constraints

We regret that our usual child care programs are not available at this time.  Normally, we have a "Story Hour", for 3- to 5-year olds with Bible stories, singing, praying, crafts and snacks.  Also, a nursery for infants is usually provided.

However, you can participate with other women in one the following ways:

  • Through Zoom (available through a computer or phone), or
  • In small groups of 5 or less, meeting at Fairlawn Church.  Face masks and social distancing are required in these study groups, and you are encouraged to bring your own refreshments.

Here are responses to common questions and concerns that you may have as you consider attending a Coffee Break meeting.

When and where do you meet?

Thursdays, 9:30-11am at Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church, 305 Goldthwaite Road, Whitinsville, MA

What’s the charge?

It’s free!  I don’t have a Bible! No problem. We have plenty.

I don’t know anything about the Bible!

That’s OK. There are no tests. We all learn together. I don’t go to church. No worries--there are no “entrance requirements.” Just come with an open mind.

Do I have to dress up?

Come as you are. Be comfortable. We'll be keeping windows open, so you may want to bring a jacket.

What if I don't know anybody?

You’re only allowed to be a newcomer the first week. After that, we’re all friends.

More questions?

Let us know. We’d be glad to help! Call Ginette at 508-234-4806 or the church office at Phone: 508-234-2838.
