We organize programs and events that intentionally reach out to those in our community with the love and good news of Jesus.
Coffee Break and Story Hour
Coffee Break Bible Study is a place where people who have never opened a Bible—as well as those who have a lot of experience—can feel comfortable to share and to learn about God and what he desires for them. Coffee Break reaches out to women and children from the community through a time of fellowship, Bible study, sharing, and prayer. The group meets on Thursdays at 9:30am during the school year. Story Hour, for 3- to 5-year olds, offers Bible stories, singing, praying, crafts and snacks. A nursery for infants is also provided. See our Coffee Break page for more information.
Adult English Language Learning Assistance
Are you an adult who has immigrated to the US and needs help learning to communicate in English? Weekly English sessions will begin on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, where you can get individual or small group help with oral and written English skills.
Come and learn English at Fairlawn Church, located at 305 Goldthwaite Road (off of Hill Street and North Main Street) in Whitinsville. Call the church office at 508-234-2838 or write Phyllis Masso at email@example.com to enroll, or if you have questions, or if you require child care at the church during the sessions. Tell your friends. You will not be graded, and there is no homework.
The program is open to all who would like to improve their English and is offered at no charge.
For over 30 years, Fairlawn organized an annual week-long summer event for children age 4 through grade 8. Activities included Bible lessons, crafts, sports and recreation, and lots of singing and musical instruction. This program has been discontinued. See our Choir Fest page for more information.
Peace of Bread Community Kitchen
In cooperation with the Northbridge Association of Churches, Fairlawn regularly participates in the Peace of Bread Community Kitchen. This outreach ministry serves free nutritious meals to the people of our community. Hot meals are served on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:00pm at the United Presbyterian Church at Whitinsville.
Northbridge Association of Churches
The NAC was formed to create opportunities for churches to work together in ministry to our community. See our Northbridge Association of Churches page for more information.
